Distribuzione

L'unica specie oggi nota di questo genere è mwdgendemica della mwdwNuova Guinea; una sottospecie è stata reperita nell'arcipelago delle mweaMolucchecite-ref-salticidae-1-0[1].

Tassonomia

A dicembre 2010, si compone di una specie e una mwfwsottospeciecite-ref-salticidae-1-1[1]:

• mwhgSpilargis ignicolor mwiamwiqSimon, 1902cite-ref-2[2] — Nuova Guinea

• mwkaSpilargis ignicolor bimaculata mwkqmwkgStrand, 1909 — Arcipelago delle Molucche

Specie trasferite

• mwlgSpilargis nigromaculata mwlw(mwmaKeyserling, 1883); trasferita al genere mwmqLycidas mwmgmwmwKarsch, 1878, con la denominazione di mwnaLycidas nigromaculatus mwnq(Keyserling, 1883) a seguito di uno studio dell'aracnologo mwngZabka del 1987cite-ref-salticidae-1-2[1].
